Moving Day!!

Jeff and I got our new house finally. It turned out perfect. Our good friends Ben, Andrea and Matt came to help us move. We got all moved in just a couple hours.  Jeffs parents also helped out a lot as well.
July 16th we got the keys and it was amazing!  We were able to get our carpets cleaned the same day and they were dry by the time we started moving things in the next day.
This is our house!!!
Jeffs dad and mom helped get our yard looking beautiful!
Moving time:

Andrea and Julie putting dishes away.

Jeff just finised taking boxes downstairs
Ben is struggling with this tub...
I cant wait to use my grill.

After we finised moving everyone sat around talking and drinking beer. Bens parents also came over to see our new place. It was nice to show off our new house!!

So for now all we have is this 1 chair until our couches come in a couple of weeks.

The former homeowner left us a welcome note and also a bottle of champagne in the fridge. So Jeff and I popped open the bottle of champagne and toasted to our new house and the start of our life together!!

July 9th weekend in Valleyfield Quebec

For the weekend Jeff and I met all of our friends for camping/boat races. Everyone went to the boat racing but Jeff and I did not want to go.  The first night we got there it rained all night, not so much fun!  Saturday was perfect night and hot but the lake water was perfect to cool down in!  Great times!

This is our friend Andrea, she was making dinner mmmmm.

This is Danni and Eric our friends who also just moved into their own house!

Jeffrey got hurt, oh noooooo!
This is the view of the water from our campsite.

Ottawa earthquake on June 23, 2010

So I have never been in an earthquake before!  I was at work and all of a sudden everything starts swaying on the pegs and suprisinly it was loud.  It was a 5.0 earthquake. It only lasted for like 20 seconds but it was kinda neat but scary at the same time. I took a picture of the damage from the earthquake!

This next picture is from a while back in March when I finally got my perament residency for Canada!! I can now work in Canada and live here, but too bad its hard to find a job.

Day 8 San Juan, Puerto Rico

After our cruise was over we decided to stay a few extra days in San Juan to enjoy the local scenery. We were suffering from PCD - Post Cruise Depression -  The effects of PCD lasted well after the cruise ended.
On our last day in San Juan we decided to go to the Bacardi Rum Distillery. We took a tour that explained the history of Bacardi. The picture below is outside and everyone who goes on the tour gets two free drinks of any kind of Rum they want. It was nice to have a few free drinks.

This is the entrance of the tour building.

The Bacardi label has a bat on it because back in the day where they made rum, they had bats in the building. So to make it their own label they put the bat on it so everyone would know it was their product.

After the Bacardi tour, we were very adventurous and drove to the far east side of the island(about 45 mins) and went to the El Yunque National Rain Forest. It was amazing how when driving through the rain forest you could actually feel the temperature change the deeper you went into the forest.

Look how thick the forest is, wow.

This is La Coca Falls, it was just off the road so you did not have to hike. They did have hiking trails but we were not prepared to hike.

You can see the ocean from the mountains in the Rain Forest.

We stopped at a lookout tower, we walked up to the top and it was amazing seeing the view get better and better as you get higher and higher. All of these pictures were taken from Yokahu Observation Tower you can see for miles and miles.

After we had our fill of the rain forest we went to a nice beach that was nearby. We went to Luquillo Beach, it was amazing and perfect! This would have been perfect to rent a chair and swim and drink and eat all day, too bad it was cloudy and cold! :(

I love the ocean it was amazing to watch the waves.

I called my mommy to say hi and Jeff took a picture while I was on the phone. My mom thought it was neat to see a picture from when we talked, makes you feel like you were kinda there.

It was a great last day of vacation together before coming home to the real world!!
